About this blog

I'm Laura Gutierrez, and I write the AI search blog.

My background is in language and SEO. I spent years at Weglot, a website localization platform promising multilingual SEO to small companies, and I watched the same pattern repeat with client after client: they'd come in asking to "translate the site," but what they actually wanted was visibility in international search and translation alone was never going to get them there alone.

Most of what's published about AI search right now falls into one of two buckets: recycled SEO advice with new labels stuck on, or marketing lingo nudging you toward a tool. I wanted something different: a place that explains, clearly and specifically, what actually changes when your audience stops clicking blue links and starts asking ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity instead.

That language background shapes how I think about all of this. There's no one-size-fits-all playbook for getting recommended by AI, and it gets even trickier once you're trying to break into new markets. So that's what I'm here to help you figure out.

Everything I write is based on real audits, not speculation: what's getting cited, what isn't, and why. I actually built a tool to measure this myself, and I use it with my marketing and ecommerce friends to see what's working for them too. If you're a marketer or agency trying to make sense of this shift, I hope this blog makes it a little easier. Welcome!
